How about a Hillman Minx Phase 1 drophead coupé? Unlikely I know, but from the evidence offered by the pictures it’s worth a thought. |

I don't think it's "unlikely", I think you're most probably right, that looks quite right for Minx Phase I Drophead Coupé (or even Magnificent Drophead Coupé?). Post-war british cars (Hillman's in particular) in Chile were quite common and some of them can be found in drivable conditions to this day, so that would be a very logical guess. |

So, we just wait for the experts to decide. |

I don’t know why I bother. |

An opinion rather than being an expert... 1937 Hillman Minx Foursome Drophead Coupe https://www.flickr.com/photos/jeffspiccies/5565107983 The Minx Phase 1 drophead coupé looks to have a more protruding boot whereas the earlier model has an more rounded boot following the rear wheel wings? It's a long time now since I looked at the Minx Magnificent models so I will have to go hunting some more. |

After a lot of comparing boot shapes, the main picture shows the larger boot of the Hillman Minx Phase I Drophead Coupé I believe. |
