Are those hinges to the right of the rear side window? So 244/245? Alloys / bumper trim specific to a certain year / trim level? |

@andrepa: It's rather tricky to see what modelyear it is when one only is able to see the bumpers from this direction. The 1975 until early 1976 models Link to "www.classiccarratings.com" had rubber surrounding the number plate while the late 1976 until 1977 models https://www.media.volvocars.com/image/low/59287/1_9/5 had plack paint behind the number plate. 1978+ models didn't have the black paint. Both the L = Luxe and the DL, as well as the upper class GL = Grand Luxe, had carpets on the floor. As far as I understand, the only difference between the L and the DL, when the upholstery isn't seen, is that the L doesn't have a clock above the centre panel. I believe tore-40 is correct when he says it's a two door 242, which have longer doors, rather than a 244 (or a 245). That would also make sence as the car is specially converted for a disabled person. It's very difficult to see if it's a 1975 until early 1976 MY or a late 1976 until 1977. The only visible differences are different steering wheel (which is removed) and different door hinges (which is not seen). The GL is excluded as it only came in a four door version (except possiby in USA/Canada) and had metallic paint. As far as I can see I can only say it's a 1975-77 Volvo 242 DL. -- Last edit: 2019-08-08 23:46:49 |

@zodiac thank you once again for your profund summary, think DL is clearly by badge + watch than Only can agree what you say about bumpers, but stumbled over the metal strip (inlay) between rubber parts which seems to be found only on early models We not yet mentioned the alloys which seem to be rare? |
