It's a Vauxhall, I think a 10 or 12 h.p. about 1937, with a rare body possibly by Tickford. |

I found a Vauxhall advertising dated november 1935 in Britannia & Eve on page 2 matching this one .It lists it as a Vauxhall Light Six Coupe , of the 1936 model year programme. It does not mention Tickford as the body manufacturer.Tickford made bodies but for the Big Six series mainly their Foursome Drophead coupes. So to me it is one of the 3 factory bodies in the light six series ,the 2 others being the Standard and DeLuxe four door saloons. Vauxhall Light Sixes were rated at either 12 hp or 14 hp by choice of engine , not 10 hp.The price of the Coupe was £ 245.To summarize , 1936 Vauxhall Light Six Coupe ( 12 hp or 14 hp).The coupe is an extremely rare car nowadays. |
