?Chongqing North-Benz http://www.sinodefence.com/army/transport/xc2030_pic_3.asp OK, I know this is a military 6x6, but it's definitely a Mercedes clone. |

Chris is right, it's a North-Benz manufactured in Inner Mongolia. |

Yes, that's a North-Benz badge on the grille. Sinodefence.com says that the North-Benz is a licenced version of the NG-80 made by a joint venture of Norinco and Daimler-Benz/DaimlerChrysler. (DaimlerChrysler withdrew from the venture in 2003, presumably because of the poor sales noted in the Sinodefence.com article.) http://www.sinodefence.com/army/transport/nd2629a.asp The photo that chris40 linked to is in fact the Tiema XC2030, which according to Sinodefence.com is an unauthorised reverse-engineered copy of the earlier Mercedes-Benz 2026. http://www.sinodefence.com/army/transport/xc2030.asp -- Last edit: 2007-09-16 00:20:33 |

In Europe this would have been a 1980-1984 [NG]. |
