I don't know what they would have called this in Laos, but it was sold as the KB-series in ZA. This is a Limited Edition spec 2x4 double cab, by all appearances; late 1990s. |

I don't know where this was filmed, but yes, its known as the Isuzu Trooper in America. Its a newer model too; 1998-2002. |

The name KB-series is pretty unique to South Africa, it's a carryover from the original, Florian-based Isuzu pickup. The newer pickup with a nose similar to the one seen above is called "TF-series" and comes under a variety of names depending on the market (see Link to "www.globalautoindex.com" I don't know where they were in that fragment, and you can never know where the vehicle came from. On closer inspection, I can see the TF's fanon in the fascia. I believe this to be a genuine Isuzu - the Chinese-made Great Walls and other flotsam and jetsam are usually "based" on older-generation pickups or the Thai D-Max ("vertical" headlamps). What could help is a look at the door handle and the moldings - is there a frame in which they haven't approached the driver yet? For now, I'd label it as "Isuzu TF-series". |
