More like Chevrolet Kingswood Estate. Kingswood Estate has fake wood grain on the rear door compare to Kingswood that does not have. |

Thanks, I didn't know there was a difference. |

It is indeed a Kingswood Estate or Caprice Estate. If its a 72 its a Kingswood Estate, if its a 73 its a Caprice Estate. Same car, they just changed the names beginning in 1973. Its not a 1971, because they had the little louvers in the tailgate. That was the only year with the louvers. Otherwise it looked just like the 72-73 models, except they had a different grille. If I am not mistaken, the woodgrain appears to be a lighter color, which signifies to me that is a 1973 Caprice Estate. The 1971-72s had darker woodgrain paneling. I have a 1972 Kingswood Estate. -- Last edit: 2008-08-16 07:08:21 |

71-73 models had the tailights with horizontal strips on them. 74-76 they had vertical strips. This is not a 71 model because it doesn't have the one year only louvers on the tailgate, so that means it could be either a 72 or a 73 model year wagon. |

Looks like 1972/73 version due to absence of rear vent here. |
