The plates were blurred out in this show. How is this a 1998? |

@dhill_cb7 - 1998 was the first year for the EX model with painted mirrors and door handles. 1997 models were only available in a single grade which didn't have a name, and had black door handles and mirrors (as did 1998+ LX models). Note that in Australia, painted handles and mirrors were not available until the 1999 facelift - from 1997-1998 there was only a single model grade in Australia (without a name). -- Last edit: 2019-06-05 22:55:37 |

@MisterZ we had two trim levels for 1997. 4WD & LX: http://gtcarlot.com/colors/Honda/CR-V/1997/ There was no 1997 EX. How can you tell this is a 1998+ EX over a 1997 LX? Edit: Early 1997 models there was only an unnamed trim level by the brochure but later in the the model year I believe the LX came out: http://www.auto-brochures.com/makes/Honda/Honda_US%20Model%20Range_1997.pdf Seems GTCarlot is wrong in this instance.... -- Last edit: 2019-06-05 22:06:00 |

@dhill_cb7 - as I mentioned, the base LX had black handles and mirrors, on the EX they were painted. Since the EX trim didn't exist in 1997, this is a 1998+ |

Good catch on the handles. Overlooked on my part. Thanks! Learned something new today. |
