In reality, the No. 66 Porsche 904 didn't take part in 1966 Le Mans 24 Hours. The No. 66 was a reserved vehicle in the 1965 Le Mans 24 Hours for the Swiss racing team, Scuderia Filipinetti, driven by Swiss racing driver, Dieter Spoerry and co-driver, Jacques Calderari. Like the 1966 Le Mans, the No. 66 wasn't required to race. -- Last edit: 2021-12-04 15:42:31 |

The 904 in F v F was my father-in-laws. He built it with Chuck Beck at his garage in Atlanta. It had custom Fuchs / BBS rims, a 993 engine & was 1900 lbs wet. Drove it at Watkins Glen. Frighteningly fast - needs rear downforce to use its power. He sold it to the production company making the movie. Not sure where it lives today. Whoever owns it will have some incredibly unique details on that car! GP in Pittsburgh |
