The Mexican Kia plant makes the Forte, Rio and Hyundai Accent. The Optima is imported from the US. "Kia will begin selling its Forte, Sportage and Sorento in Mexico at 21 newly established dealerships beginning July 1 (2015). A spokesman tells WardsAuto the Forte compact sedan will be imported from Korea, the Sorento midsize CUV will be produced Kia’s U.S. assembly plant in West Point, GA, and the Sportage CUV will be sourced from Kia’s plant in Slovakia.
