It's Standard (with a "d") Ten. Looks like a 1956 or later. The Ten is very similar to the Eight but the Ten has an externally opening boot (trunk) that believe it or not the Eight did not have. On the Eight, the luggage conpartment had to be accessed from inside the car. |

Of course it is Standard with a 'd' ... was a bit late last night ![]() On this image /vehicle_12543-unknown-Batbike.html boot-lid handles can be seen which either makes this a 1956 Super Ten or a 1957 top ot the range Eight or Ten Phase II. The Eight and Ten differed in engine size (803cc vs. 948cc), while the better trim level and the boot lid were extras only for the top-end versions. The 'Family Ten' had no boot lid, too. As we don't see the front to decide if it is a '56 or '57 model, I will choose the older one. |
