Soft plastic sun visor: after November 1959. Rubber protection on the upper part of the front seats: after July 1960. Speedometer still in the corner of the windscreen: before October 1962. So let's call this a 1961 2CV AZ (though 1962 and/or AZL would be possible as well). |

Can you tell us something date-wise about the upholstery DynaMike? My 1962 2cv AZ has the green and grey striped upholstery of which I'm pretty sure it is authentic, not this scottish plaid-looking one. |

There has been a 'Scottish' upholstery in 2CVs, indeed. I t was introduced in March 1953 and changed to the striped upholstery (like on yours in December 1956. But it had a different design, and the frames of these seats were painted dark grey - the light grey came in December 1956 as well. I think what we see in this ppicture is more likely to be a suitcase than the upholstery. |
