I'm thinking Demon as well? In 'Plum Crazy'/'In Violet'!!!! (same color had two different names.....it's a Metallic Purple)

1970 or 71 if a Duster

1971 if a Demon

That's Plymouth Duster, 'cause it has squared Plymouth' wheel arches and low placed front side marker and bumper (in contrast to higher side marker and smaller bumper of Dodge Demon)

How did Dacia acquire the right to the Duster name? Did Chrysler let the copyright expire?

I would imagine it is because Chrysler didn't sell their Duster in Europe and Dacia doesn't sell theirs in North America

That's probably right, Chrysler can't claim to suffer any damage.

They 'did' sell Dusters there, kind of.......Chrysler Military Sales, via the AAFES New Car Sales outlets. Big seller for them, too? (Of course, very few were 'in stock units',they mostly sold cars by special order and you had to go to either Bremerhaven or Belgium (I forget the port,I want to say Antwerp, but I'm probably wrong??)to pick it up when it arrived??)

Well, let's see....Lincoln & Bentley both had a Continental.... Pontiac & Ferrari both had a G.T.O.,and had them at the same time....Mercury & Austin both had a Montego, but at different times......

Nearly every Edsel model name has been re-used: Ranger, Villager, and Corsair stayed in the Ford family in various brands (and continents). Pacer of course became an AMC, and Citation was used by Chevrolet. Bermuda was used before Edsel in 1955 by Willys (one-year-only hardtop coupe) (and later by bus builder Jonckheere). The exception: Roundup.
