I don't think that any 2CV based kit car ever had a 5700 cc engine ;)

You actually be surpiced, someone once put an American V8 engine in a 2CV.....

I meant not for the engine, but for the body, look at the front fenders, they look somewhat 2cv....

Mostly based on Ford UK vehicles I guess, from Cortina and Escort onwards with engines from anywhere.

I think these Duttons were based on Triumph Spitfire chassis Though I also read that it had an slef-built tube-chassis), and they could get a wide range of engines. This model was called Phaeton, there was also a sort of SUV (called Sierra and based on the Ford Escort).

No, usually mechanical parts from Ford donor vehicles were used. Rear axle usually from Ford Cortina. This one having a small block installed (if DVLA is correct) might use something stronger ... ;)

The Dutton Phaeton Series 1 was produced from 1977-81 and is therefore most likely the model we are looking for. The B Type and B Plus had different wings and free standing lights, but the Malaga (1974-77) or Malaga B+ (1975-77) had integrated lights. So if the builder took a while to finish his kit-car this would be possible, too.
