International Harvester - not sure of the model yet. Here is a link for any one who wants to see if they can work it out. http://www.tractorshed.com/cgi-bin/gallery/photo_view.cgi |

You could very well be right - it could be one, like the 706 in Link to "www.tractorshed.com" Still more searching for to confirm exactly what it is, though... |

It is an IH Farmall, from what I can see it is an 816 from the early sixties - http://www.lestracteursrouges.com/fichier_tracteurs/tracteurs_us/816.htm. Tried Googling for more pics to make 100% certain, but no luck... Pretty convinced, though! |

It looks to me it may of been custom built.Which might make it harder to find in picture form. But yep i can see it being anything else... |

It's either a 706 or 806. I can tell the series by the grill. This one has a mounted field cultivator and a home-built cab on it. IH models were a letter from 1939 to 54. A, B(short-lived, replaced by the C), C,H,M. They all ended up being "supers" their last few years. Then came the hundreds, 100, 200, 300, 400. They then went to the 140, 240, 350, 450. Then they went to the 460, 560, and 660. After that came the 06 series, the 26 and 56 series, the 66's, 86's, then the 88 series, which was in production when they went bankrupt. These are North American market tractors. They used some different model numbers in other countries. They were the same machine with a different number on them, and some different options to meet those country's laws, like on lighting, rollover protection, etc. -- Last edit: 2009-10-16 01:44:45 |
