I think this is one of the 'Cruisin' Van' trim packages Ford had out about 1977. Sure did get 'Uglied Up' in such a short time? (But I think it had a LOT of help!!) |

I'm having a hard time nailing down which years of Cruising Van had which stripe styles. Some sources claim this style as early as 1975. |

For something that's no older than 3 yrs old at the time, that is one fried paint job, that much I know??? Looks like it's 20 yrs old and never been washed/waxed!!!! |

Looks like it's covered in a thick layer of dirt/dust. I bet she would have probably cleaned up real nice. |

According to the brochures 1977 was the first year for this package. Compare. 1975: https://www.lov2xlr8.no/brochures/ford/75eco/75eco.html 1976: https://www.lov2xlr8.no/brochures/ford/76fcv/76fcv.html 1977: https://www.lov2xlr8.no/brochures/ford/77eco/77eco.html - yes this is Canada but the other two are US spec and the package isn't mentioned until 1977. Edit: This is a brand new 1978 by the porthole. Here is (it may not work as it is an ebay listing) the 1978 brochure I was able to dig up: Link to "www.ebay.ie" - Please navigate to the last page that references all the accessories and options. Now refer to the 1977 brochure and there aren't any porthole options. Also those wheels were introduced for the 1978 model year too. The Cruising Van is slightly different package. This is actually the 'Free Wheeling' package by the wheels, stripes, & porthole. See the 1978 brochure for details. -- Last edit: 2019-05-07 18:21:08 |
