Every year when I watch this Christmas movie, I'm always disturbed by this car. It has a 1984 front end (with gold-toned grille substitued) but when the giant elf, Philpott, gets out of the trunk, we are seeing a 1988 rear. Same car customized or a different car used for the rear shot? Since the front is showing in the main photo, will use 1984. -- Last edit: 2018-12-13 14:50:05 |

Despite the 88 rear body panel it still has a pre-85 rear bumper, meaning it also has a redundant set of backup lights. |

Good observation about the rear bumper. Odd that a rear panel would be substituted from a later car, yet the old bumper retained. Usually whole rear clips are used. |

Sign on rear roofline say me what is the "Embassy" by Armruster -Stageway,but i don't see emblem of Armbruster-Stageway.And this silver streep on the B1-pillar... |

Not only the 85/88 Lincolns are mixed here, but also two different limousine models - very weird! The Armbruster/Stageway logo is incorporated in the targa bar at the B1-pillar. By that targa bar and the layout of the conversion this is clearly a Silverhawk. The Embassy script doesn't belong to this limousine and even if this was an A/S Embassy model, the script wouldn't be at the outward edge of the sail panel. |
