It's on www.cartell.ie: Make BOMBARDIER / GAC Model OTHER Colour RED CC Not Available It was probably later in it's life was converted to a Bus Eireann bus, hence why it came up as red on the site. |

It's a KC class - specifically KC21 (ZSI21) |

What is the correct make name then? We had one listed as "Bombardier Ireland", I suppose it is related (and maybe that one has a wrong name) : /vehicle_29339-Bombardier-Ireland-894.html |

... so what about that other one? Should it be renamed to just "Bombardier"? |

Yes, the make is 'Bombardier'. |

Filmed at Phibsboro depot IIRC, this is one of 201 buses delivered new to Córas Iompair Éireann between mid-1983 and 1986, all fitted with a Cummins L10-185 engine coupled to a Voith D851 gearbox. This should actually be listed as a GAC as only two KC-class buses (prototype KC1 and KC2) were badged as Bombardiers - GAC had taken full control of the operation and the Shannon plant by the time this bus was under assembly. -- Last edit: 2014-09-03 18:55:10 |

New in 1983, and a search on BusListsontheWeb shows that the actual model name is CB (for City Bus). I've kept "KC-class" as additional info. |
