Does the plate returns 2001? In that case, it would be a V70 XC and not XC70. |

Plate returns a 2004. Not sure if that changes the model name or nomenclature @walter, atom or anyone else that knows these well enough. These confuse me as I have not really studied them in depth. I am sure there is an easier guide to follow to differentiate the models YV1SZ799441162981 YV1 = Volvo cars S = V70, V70XC, XC70 Z = 5DRS (V70 XC) 79 = D5244T 9 = KOD: EM F2 4 = M66 manual gearbox 4 = 2004 1 = Sweden, Torslanda Plant VCT 21(Volvo Torslandaverken) (Gothenburg) 162981 = sequential serial number |

The name was changed to XC70 in 2003 with the launch of the XC90. D5244T means it's a D5. |
