1991-1996? Don't believe these were face-lifted. |

They weren't. However they lasted until 1997 in the U.S. Link to "en.wikipedia.org") |

Yep. I did not know they lasted until 1997: Link to "www.2040-cars.com" |

Quick question. There are some Previa's listed on here as 1994 models but with no clarification as of why they are. I looked at them and I see zero differences between 1991 and 1994. |

By law the CHMSL in 1994 but I am pretty sure all 1991-1993 have them. 1997 passenger airbags so there might be a difference in the 1991-1996 over 1997s but I cannot confirm. |

Interior shots may be able to narrow the Previa’s down further but i’ll look for the CHMSL on them. -- Last edit: 2019-06-05 22:56:43 |

Previa got the CHMSL at least in 1992 1991's brochure is inconclusive 1991 does not some pick-up/SUV/vans did got it before 1994, notably the Explorer ( 1991 ), Chrysler's minivans ( 1991 ), our friend Previa here ( 1992 ), Nissan Pathfinder ( 1993 ) among others wouldn't be a bad idea to dress a list of them in the forum -- Last edit: 2019-06-06 01:00:26 |

Also, Econoline 1992. A list might be a great forum ID. Possibly get stickied in naming conventions? |

started it in the useful info could be also used for foreign markets ( that had different years than us for the CHMSL law ) that got it before too -- Last edit: 2019-06-06 01:18:24 |

Thats some good info you found Baube. Good to know its in the forum for future reference. |

according to brochures and pics, 1994 was the 1st year for the passenger airbag |

Baube, when I said those years in my first post it was in reference to federally mandated laws here in the states. Very good research! Learned something else new. |

i went by : if they didn't waited 1994 for the 3rd stop light, maybe they didn't waited for that either ( back then offering both airbags was a good marketing strategy, if the Previa had the 1st gen Sienna's look right from the start it could have been a huge success ) -- Last edit: 2019-06-06 03:00:58 |
