I have no exact knowledge of this car, but would suggest S1 with coachwork by Hooper. With good reason.... https://ultimate-classic-car-hire.com/car/1956-bentley-s1-hooper-empress-sgf-862/ -- Last edit: 2018-11-17 22:12:53 |

I'm sorry, but my god that's hideous. |

There are worse sins committed. http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2017/05/the-strange-taxi-of-nubar-gulbenkian.html Some by Hooper’s, even. -- Last edit: 2018-11-17 22:16:08 |

How about the 1954 Silver Wraith by Vignale, also known as "The Toilet Car" as under the right rear passenger seat it had a toilet with a gold painted toilet seat which dumped straight onto the ground — although it is understood this was only used as a champagne cooler (at least one hopes it was not used interchangeably). ^That's actually pretty neat-looking compared to this one. This just looks like there was half a Bentley on the street, and another Bentley driver crashed into it and it stuck to the front. -- Last edit: 2018-11-17 22:36:48 |

SGF 862 = chassis B466AN. |

Chassis number B466AN, a six-light saloon by Hooper, was delivered in December 1955 to Charles Hill & Sons Ltd. |

I get its individual tastes and that haters are gonna hate, but I've always found them to be quite striking. They're aluminum bodies and the long sloping fenders that carry through the body are just classy in a way that the stamped steel-bodied Bentley S1s and Rolls Silver Clouds don't really match. Though, I can see how some would find the 2-tone paint scheme to be a bit much. -- Last edit: 2023-08-03 10:54:29 |
