The 1970 Chevelle SS shown in this movie was my fathers. He was working on the movie as Transportation Coordinator. His name was Jackie Newell and he died in 1999 of cancer. After the car was shot up in the movie the production company rebuilt the car and modified it to pristine condition. I was in love with the car and drove it on many occasions when I was a child, but as I neared the age of 16 my father sold the car for my protection thinking that I would kill myself in it, after all it did have a ls6 454 and I loved fast cars. The only information that I have on the car after that is that the guy who bought it totalled it not long after. |
