Body is Alexander RH, chassis can be a Olympian or Dominator. Body design for this phase of Alexander R looks too late for MCW Metrobus. The body looks dating back from late 1980's to early 1990's which Metrobus almost cease its production at that time. Last phase MCW Metrobus almost all used its own "Apollo II" body, almost no other body choice available for Metrobus at that time. The wind shield use "BET" design that can be a former Dublin or Stagecoach Buses but Stagecoach has no bus has a standard height Alexander RH body with a "BET" design windscreen... -- Last edit: 2018-09-29 18:11:39 |

Actually there are two open toppers in this sequence, this is the second. I did some research based on the Open Top Bus website http://www.opentopbus.net/w-Spain.pdf - there is a publicity company Publidinamica based in Madrid but with an office in Barcelona. The first bus is full open top and is therefore I believe either H0265BBF, new in 1989 as Trent 618 (G618OTV), or H5281BBF new in 1989 as Trent 608 (F608GVO). Whichever it is, that would make it a Volvo B10M-50 Citybus with Alexander body. Have a look at The second, seen here, is partial open top, and I therefore believe it's H0267BBF (new in 1991 as Dublin Bus RH59 (90-D-1059). That's a Leyland Olympian with Alexander (Belfast) body. Here's a pic of it in the UK registered H337YYD: https://www.flickr.com/photos/anw509/8443241432 |
