Or a Charron. |

However, the American Charron was hellishly expensive (at the time it was the most expensive car in the US!!) only built for two years and not even in this body style (it was only offered as a four seat tonneau, despite this advert: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/1e/Ccv-auto_1906-1204.jpg ) I don't even think any of them have survived to this day. As filmed in the US, it's probably not a Renault as European Edwardian cars are rarely imported unless it's for a movie set in England or someplace. With a flat hood like this plus US filming location I think it is a Franklin. This would also match as they were very expensive, which is what this looks like. -- Last edit: 2017-03-14 21:29:03 |

I am convinced that it's a Renault or at least closely related to French automobiles. Absolut no Franklin! The film is in television here right now! -- Last edit: 2020-06-07 19:30:54 |

It's a Renault Taxi from 1907-09 most likely. Just because it's RH drive means nothing. ALL automobiles in America until the invention of the Model T were RH drive. |

I see this is on British style Sankey wheels, and lots of the filming seems to have been done at Shepperton Studios. Maybe this is car is from some museum outside of London? |

You can see fire escape ladders in front of the windows, so this is probably a real US location, most likely in New York. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0082970/locations |
