With 1991+ british-spec. Lada badge and grille. The most real thing is that it's reexported car from UK. With rebuilded windshiel frame, wipers and and steering (etc. connected with) for LHD driving. In a very nice metallic painting "Wet Asphalt". Probably the most usual basic 1.3L trim. |

Is the colour unique to the UK market? Otherwise it could simply be customised with the UK grille. |

Nowadays it's quite unique in Russia... In the early 90's, when it just came on market, it was not usual colour in Russia too. I think, that in UK it was not very usual colour on Samaras, but notning huge special in it. At all, since metallic painting started on VAZ (1988-89), most of metallic-painted Samaras were exported to Europe. Only 5-10% of them were sold here. But in the early 90's, as i said, metallic-painted Samara came on SU/RUS-market and became not so rare thing. Since the second part of the 90's AvtoVAZ has a lot of different metallic colours for Ladas. P.S. It was filmed in Saint-Petersburg, at all. There were a lot of reexported Ladas in 90's. Also, it's quite hard to find this grille there, especially in this colour. And these customs with the side of steering wheel were quite often to see. So, I think, that it was RHD when it left the assembly line. -- Last edit: 2019-02-05 15:36:21 |
