Originally designed by Motoki Hama. Between 1967-70, a small (and unknown) number of closed-type examples were produced under Hama or Hama Studio brand. RQ or RQE(as in Racing Quartely Equipment) re-engineered S800 engine, race-prepped Hama's Coniglio and eventually built 10 open racing versions which were supplied to private racing teams since the late 1960s (probably since 1969). All of them used Honda S800 chassis & engine. 'Coniglio' was the name of the FRP body. I'd say for racing models, we use 'RQE' as the make and 'Coniglio' as the model name, even though the original design belongs to 'Hama'. |
