:hello: new theory on 6/90 dating for debate. All our entries and my Glass's info say that May 57 S3 had the bigger wrapround rear window. Therefore small window = 54-57 S1 or S2. But we have several plate dates for small window cars into 58 (particularly all the sightings of 892 and 894 FPC, but I think there are others including UUV 133 which may be small window on a late 57 plate). Glass's also says March 58 onwards "Name and model on boot lid". Suggest therefore that small window production as S3 continued well into 58 (perhaps for police spec only??) alongside the normal big window S3, therefore small window does not cut off 6/90s after May 57 for our dating rules and we can/should redate a lot of the police cars at least using plate dates. Seems a strange situation to carry on producing 2 formats simultaneously, but they were doing the same thing with the same-body Magnette ZB from Oct 56 - Varitone got big window but normal ZB did not. Any thoughts??

6/90 discussion resolved as far as possible at /vehicle.php?id=549325 , and ZB Magnette link is irrelevant as it was a different shorter body. The FPC pair regarded as old stock 1957-made S2.
