"308 CDI" Its built in Argentina for Cuba: Link to "mensual.prensa.com" "DaimlerChrysler Argentina tiene previsto destinar al mercado externo el 90% de las unidades Sprinter que fábrica en el país con destino a Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, Jamaica, Panamá, Perú, Uruguay, Costa Rica y Paraguay". "Daimler Chrysler Argentina have plans to export to other countries the 90% of the Sprinter units made in the country, having destiny to Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Equator, Guatemala, Honduras, Jamaica, Panama, Peru, Uruguay, Costa Rica and Paraguay". |

I'd be a bit sceptical about that list of countries, since Jamaica is a right hand drive/left hand traffic market and it would make sense to concentrate all RHD production in Germany. |

And whats the problem? here exported LHD and RHD vehicles to NZ and Australia, and for the 2010 World Cup have exported many Sprinters to South Africa. See here: http://autoblog.com.ar/2010/03/sprinter-argentinas-en-sudafrica-2010/ |

They may not build where it makes most sense from a tooling perspective (cf: /vehicle_317427-Opel-Astra.html - British made LHD Astras). It's much easier and more cost effective to transport to Jamaica from Argentina than Germany so it might work out from that perspective. |
