night cub ◊ 2018-09-01 05:58	Mexico used to tax luxury cars at a much higher rate and Mercury was considered a luxury car, so they just sold them as Fords so the tax was lower. The other American auto makers did the same thing, which is why there are Buicks and Oldsmobiles models under the Chevrolet make.
