Generally in such cases we take the earliest possibility as a default, unless the MK VIII was much scarcer of course. |

Mk.VIII - Oct 1956 to Sept 1958 - 6,227 produced Mk.IX - Oct 1958 to (mid?) 1961 - 10,009 produced Later Mk.IX from Jan 1960 had bigger rear lights with orange indicators as introduced on the XK150 and then the Mk.II range as this April 1960 example - compare first smaller lights. I'm not convinced this one has the bigger lights, unless another view is available. Entering as early Mk.IX. |
