Elite II, rather.

According to the book, two air slots = Panorama Elite II, while no air slots = Panorama Elite III. Nothing to do with the chassis.

i think the 2 air slots grille was used with II and III with number of slots giving a hint on chassis
-It was the Bristol bus even longing for more air resulting in 4 slots to ban the destination sign into the roof called the Bristol dome.
-while Ford or Seddon had 3/2 slots with MK II as well as with MK III bodies

Here are the features making this a MK III :
-squared-off destination sign chrome surrounded, while a MK II allways had rubber and more rounded corners
-the dual framed strip in bicolor only meeting at the front end, while some III had still the older style chrome a MK II never comes with>>>
-clap hand pantograph whipers introduced with MK III
-once again wether there are slots or not the number and position has nothing to do with generation, but air flow of engine and therefore with chassis indeed!
a Bristol for example will allways need maximum of air slots possible.
-the key to identify will be to know the operator first so the National Bus Company generally opted for only a single strip on otherwise dual strip MK III
but a MK II never had hand clap whipers!
[Image: mkii.jpg] even without grille we can identify MK II by round rubber sign + single strip + conventionnel whipers

wanted to avoid by first comment, entering now mined terrain!
ours is a late Elite but not a Ford as a Ford would have 3 slots resulting in higher position of sign not a Bristol 4 slots

it can be a Seddon ; a Bedford or maybe a Leyland Elite III with 2 slots without badge as there is no evidence for other makes used the 2 slots grille but even this can't be excluded

once again the hand clap whipers are most significant
