1974 launched(was the replacement of Karrier Commando),lasted until 1982,when was replaced by its restyling(more boxy cab and more higher grille),named Dodge Commando Mk2,an upgraded model(made into ex-Karrier Motors mfg.plants in Dunstable),realized with aid of Renault V.I.(after the change by Chrysler Europe to Talbot, all trucks facilities owned by ex-Rootes Group--and relative shareholding--were bought all by truck division of Régie, that gets rights to sold those in France thru Renault V.I. Dealers' network, but always Dodge-badged still;later models will got a rebadging, renamed in UK as Renault Commando, before that last UK-made Dodge was dropped by production into early Nineties') -- Last edit: 2007-07-04 22:40:15 |
