This is Buddy Repperton's car. Repperton is the leading bully who beats up Arnie and trashes Christine after Arnie and Dennis get him and his gang expelled and suspended. In the scene with his Camaro, he is driving with a friend when Christine starts to stalk him. He does not realize it is Arnie's car untill he gets out at the gas station with the Chevy truck. His friend is blown up when the Camaro leaks gasoline and Christine also is caught on fire. Christine then chases Repperton down a backroad and runs him down. The Camaro is only seen in this chase.
In the book, Buddy has two friends with him. The friends are killed by Christine ramming them in the Camaro and in a accident. Buddy escapes the Camaro only to be run over again. Buddy Repperton dies in the cold snow a few minutes after being run down by Christine.

Again changed, on the book Repperton was driving a mid-seventies Camaro.

Actually, you're both wrong. In the book, it's indicated that Buddy drives a two year old Camaro, so it would've been a 1976 model if it takes place in 1978.

Very nice camaro. My old art teacher owns a grey one like it. In the movie, christine destroys it completely, the runs over the owner.

67... Yes. Supersport... No. Std emblem on grill and z/28 stripes on hood. It's just a movie car paint job...

When Christine starts to ram Buddy's car (the 1967 Camaro), it can be seen to have no engine.

The giveaway on the 1967 identification is... the vent windows on the side. The 1967 Camaro has triangular vent windows. The 1968 and 1969 don't. Also, 1968 and 1968 Camaros have side reflectors in the body fenders. The 1967 Camaro does not.

An easier way to identify a 67 from a 68 is the 67 has round parking lamps on the front grille and the 68 has
oblong shaped parking lights that are orange.

Not all 1967 Camaros have parking lights in the grill. Some do... as with the Z-28 package... have them mounted in the grill just inside the head lights. But some don't... as with the SS package... which has small parking lights under the bumper. The shape does change from round in 67 to oblong in 68. Thanks for pointing it out. I never noticed that before.

In the book, it never says what year it is. It says that it is just a blue Camaro jacked up in the back so that the front is almost touching the ground and it has been rolled a couple of times.

In the movie, it is definitely a 67. The 1st gen Camaros are all distinct from one another. Also, in the gas station scene, when Christine rams the Camaro against the wall, you can see there is no engine in it.

I like this car besides the Plymouth Fury/Belvedore.

Especially in the scene where you can hear the torque of the Engine when Buddy is outrunning Christine when the camera is close-up to his(Buddy) windshield.

This is not correct- it's the RALLY SPORT (aka "rs") package that includes the hideaway headlights, as well as separated reverse lights from the taillights, etc.

The Z-28 and SS were different options. Of course, back then could order an rs, SS, rs + SS, Z/28, a Z/28 + rs, etc. (but no SS + Z/28. These weren't available until 1997 or so)

I wasn't trying to suggest this was a Z-28 or an SS. I was just pointing out that you can't rely on parking light shape to identify the year of first generation Camaros, because not all 1967's have parking lights in the grill. Some have them and some don't.

As far as what this particular Camaro is, I can't do better than saying 1967.

Also, 1967 and 1968 Camaros have a two-section rear lights, 1969 Camaro - three-section.

Yeah, in book, Christine's original owner; Roland LeBay got out the car and looked down at Buddy Repperton as he was dying,

In the chase scene maybe, but when getting hit, they probably took a body from a junkyard that was going to get scraped anyways
