Legal requirement for front plates dropped in 1975, probably not enforced for some time by then (I owned a 1972 500/4 and a '73 RD 250 [350 ] and neither had any sign of front plates ever being fitted), It is illegal to fit one to a bike registered after 01/09/2001, if you hit a pedestrian, front plates tend to fillet them like a kipper. -- Last edit: 2018-04-10 14:12:26 |
