zodiac ◊ 2018-04-29 18:47	This is actually a Zephyr Six, rather than just Zephyr. The reason is that when Ford UK got permission to use the Zephyr name in 1951, it was already known in the shape of US (Ford) Lincoln Zephyr. As that car had a V-12 engine, Ford UK had to add a "Six" after the Zephyr name. At the time when the second generation was introduced in 1956, the UK production of the Zephyr Six had been that successful, Ford UK got permission to to skip the Six bit in the end and hence was called Ford Zephyr.
