This Daimler Hooper Empress on the Daimler DF308 chassis is the last one of 15 the Hooper Empress III designs to be built having the highest Hooper body number. It was new to a Director of Woolworths, who had it for about a year. It passed to a gentleman in Sussex who owned it to 1986. It went into preservation and changed hands in 1988 and again in 2007. It is powered by the Daimler 3459cc straight 6 alloy head OHV petrol engine and has the Daimler Wilson pre-select overdrive gearbox coupled to a Daimler fluid flywheel.
