Some variation of 1966 Ford Galaxie 500 - Does anyone know, were these pinstripes unique to the 7 Litre? I'll have to look into it more in the morning. |

This pinstripe is indeed unique to the 7-Litre as far as I can tell. It's described in the brochure as "distinctive 7-Litre body striping". Unfortunately the front fender badge and unique wheelcovers are obscured here. Ford built 8,705 7-Litre hardtops and 2,368 convertibles in 1966. Most were fitted with the new 428 cubic inch V-8, but a handful (36 hardtops and 2 convertibles) were optioned with the 427 V-8. Link to "www.hemmings.com" |
