The instruments, controls and tail light are very similar to my 1982 CB 450 T. Maybe this is a newer 'retro style' bike? |

American market Honda Hawk, it's the poverty spec with drum front brake so '78-79 CB 400TI Hawk. (TII had disc & comstars). |

My 450 is Canadian - as you say disc front brake and Comstars, plus six speeds and an oil cooler. The only difference to the US is a metric speedo, and something I am not sure about, but I think it has lower gearing. |

Yours something like this? http://www.cyclechaos.com/wiki/Honda_CB450T or this http://www.cyclechaos.com/wiki/Honda_CM450C If you think it's low geared, check your sprocket sizes, parts list for the US 450T says 16/36. -- Last edit: 2018-02-21 11:39:16 |

It is a T but in the black and red colour. I will have to check with my son who has the bike, re the sprocket sizes. I read the Cycle World (?) road test and the speed vs revs seemed different to what I experienced. |
