So it is a Rolls Royce Silver Cloud II Standard Saloon, 1959 - 1962 |

It has soft shaped headlight-rims and big steering-wheel which belongs to Silver Cloud I pre sept. 1959 |

did they seriously really honestly destroy this car in the end? i know they destroyed one, but was it like a real classic rolls royce? mayB it was just a replica........ *hopefully* |

They used probably 3 or 4 different Rolls-Royces in this film, one was fresh in good shape, another was in somewhat good shape with a crooked rear bumper, another one had a more yellowish paint job rather than gold, and finally the one that was destroyed had a broken front light, dented front bumper, and a few other small dents. Trust me that Rolls that drove around in the arena looked kinda beat up and I doubt that a film like Grand Theft Auto would use mint fresh Rolls-Royces. |

According to the DVD commentary, they used several cars. A couple of them were Bentleys modified with Rolls grilles, and at least one was a Rolls mounted on a Chevrolet truck frame for some of the off-road shots. |

Note the wide track width of the Rolls in the first thumbnail - the Chevy-chassis conversion is painfully obvious. -Kurt |

Looks to be painted in 'Masons Black over Sand'. I'm interesting to know witch Chevrolet chassis could be used on Silver Cloud body. I could buy a Silver Cloud drophead body (abandonned restoration project), so I will fit it on a Chevrolet chassis/engine. |

I've seen a clip on YouTube with a very similar Silver Cloud get demolished in a demolition derby...anyone know the name of that movie? |

Unacceptable. Now matter how old or recent a Rolls is, you NEVER enter one in a demolition derby! |

Dude, this car looks awesome. It's about time we saw another 5 star rating for such a gem. ![]() |

Only a lunatic would enter a pricey car like a Rolls-Royce in a destruction derby. |

To be fair I see a fair few entered into derbys in the UK on Facebook - most of them look to be complete basket cases before they are run though! |

Not sure if I'm imagining things, but lots of shots look like a longer bonnet than usual (arch to front door edge) so presumably the Chevy mongrel - compare a real one |
