John-Deere yes - don't know the model yet. One of the horizontal engined models that was current both pre and post war I think. |

This is a John Deere Model B (styled). The Model B (like the one pictured) has 7 slots on each side of the grille. The styled model B was nearly identical to the A but is slightly smaller, less powerful, and has 7 slots on each side of the grille as compared to the A's 8 slots. The B began its production run in 1935 with an unstyled version (flat front grille) and the styled versions came in 1938, making this one built between 1938 and 1952. In 1947, both the A and B went from having cast frames to pressed steel frames, however given the lighting in the photograph, I cannot tell which this one is. |
