I believe some coachbuilders (like Crayford) were making these type conversions |

Well, it's strange anyway...This one seems based on a W123? I have found they call it Mercedes Estate. http://website.webcenter.lycos.de/www.fomcc.de/fordsetzung/05_3/05_3_3.htm (scroll down) http://www.strichachtclub.de/c_download/c_download_prospekte.php http://www.mercedes500.de/berichte.html (scroll down, German page) -- Last edit: 2007-06-12 19:46:39 |

This one's based on W114/115. The guys at Crayford even converted LWB-version into wagons until MB placed a ban on that (document in English language at the bottom of the page) |

More info here too: Link to "www.mclellansautomotive.com" I wonder where they sourced the tailgate from? Looks like it belongs to a Consul Estate. |

As far as I know it was only one, the so called "Dachshund". Correct! Crayford Auto Developement Ltd. used Ford components of the Granada/ Consul series to built these bodies. -- Last edit: 2008-09-14 02:09:27 |

This is a 1973 or earlier 250 automatic estate, registered SLC 5 and still alive a couple of years ago although plate not apparently current on DVLA and other check sites. Same car as /vehicle_145789-Mercedes-Benz-250-Estate-W114-1969.html - see table in http://www.roststopp.de/strichacht/crayford.htm . |
