This has to be a (1959-66) Scania CF 76 with a SKV body https://www.omnibuss.se/?page_id=21 http://auto-zer.com/uploads/scania/scania-cf76/scania-cf76-09.jpg Link to "savenfjord.blogspot.se" . Swedish origin.

I don't know of any export to the British isles. Archive photos together with the Volvo PV544?

Although commentary says Southern England, I think they've slipped in some Swedish footage for maybe 15 seconds - https://youtu.be/pMXxRcqmrkQ?t=208 . This freeze was a weather event across a lot of Europe, and Sweden was still a RHD country in those days. Other cars in the sequence look like a Beetle, maybe an Opel and a Fiat 500; there's something going past in opposite direction between the Volvo and this bus which might be Vauxhall Velox [E]. So the mix of cars is not specific, although the possible Opel would be unusual here.

But the giveaway is this sign

- not used in UK. So naughty BBC  .

Sorry but the split arrow Clearway sign (no stopping A-roads) were commonly used - remember it well on A5 trunk road.

The split-arrow Clearway sign was for the initial trial on certain trunk roads in the UK. The current sign was introduced after the movie in 1964.

"Clearways were first introduced between 1959 and 1960 and initially had a different type of sign to what is used today - https://www.flickr.com/photos/40910684@N04/23357269353/ . The early experimental lengths were on a number of radial roads leaving London, notably the A12, A20, and A23. The experiment proved successful and the concept of clearways was expanded and made a formal part of the new traffic sign system in 1964, when the familiar symbol still in use today was introduced."
