Either way, it's a medium-duty F-Series from anywhere between 1984 and 1993. And I say the driver took the logo from a Ford L-Series, and stuck it on the cowl of his truck. -- Last edit: 2015-01-31 00:45:17 (Neon) |

@Elmer this one appears to be listed wrong. Tandem rear axles were losted differently. |

1985-94 grille, with the Ford logo in the middle. If I'm not mistaken, there was no F-6000 for this generation of medium-duty F-Series: as already said by Ddey65, the badge of an L-Series was put on the hood of this truck. Apparently available from 1983 onwards, the medium-duty tandem trucks were called FT-Series: (1984, 1987 and 1992 brochure excerpts) Depending on the model year, FT-800, FT-8000 and FT-900 were possible. But for now, none has been identified that way in the IMCDb. Should we keep the standard F-Series for this one or create a new category and seek for all tandems in the already identified trucks? |

I think we should list them how they appear in the brochure. FT-8000? Maybe we could start a topic on the forum but I always go off what brochures state but that is just me. |

Should definitely be FT-8000, the less under the generic "F-Series", the better |

Sounds like a guess, as it could be an FT-800 or an FT-900 too. So better to have it as FT-Series, then. |
