Export plates from Soest (if authentic), the expiring date is written on the red bar. btw: these German export plates are not valid in Sweden, although you have paid the insurance until the expiring date. When Swedish people are entering Sweden with such a registration, they immediately got temporary plates -cardboard or paper- at the border, with the number of the following real plate. Maybe this has changed in the last years, but my Swedish fellows had this procedure any time, when they came to Sweden with the cars, they have bought here. |

They have just put any German plate they could find on the van since it's owned by a 'German' family in the series. German in quotation marks since it's Swedish actors talking school German to each other. |

There seem to also be a blanket or something with an atom on it in the back of the car |

Why 1965? Unless several cars were used it should be listed 1967. Kombi in S |

I'm not sure why it was listed as 1965, it might have been me who put it in... It's the same vehicle. What makes 1967 anyhow? |

for the hardcore clichee bingo, as dsl would say Of course the border control point is a poor fake - nowhere in the area, where the border control points between Germany and the Scandinvian or Baltic states exist, are that high mountains, not even artificial mountains as pithead stocks P.S. But a kind of these "beerstopps" exist - shops, where Scandinavian travellers can buy cheap (for them) alcoholic beverages. -- Last edit: 2018-05-04 00:31:59 |

P.S. the "mountain" is definitely artificial. On which former dumping ground this scene was filmed? |

Thank you! ingo, I don't know where this was filmed but it's probably some city dump or recycling central. The church seen in most episodes is Lindärva Kyrka outside Lidköping and I'd guess most things is filmed in that area. |
