Looks like the same Lancia seen in many of these Hong Kong films

How did the people of Hong Kong receive the Lancia, boys_bible?

I know Italian cars of today are seen as luxury items, as are German cars like Benz/BMW, but the Lancia Beta and its contemporaries were notoriously prone to mechanical issues and rust.

I know the HK automotive market values durability.

I don't know about HK but the people in the UK who bought Lancias & Alfas thought they were buying a premium car, until the rot set in at about 4-5 years old, it must be so disappointing to watch your pride and joy dissolve in front of you?

This one looks to have been taken care of very well, so pretty well I assume.

I found that many imcdb members prefer Italian cars. :D Really like?
At least I don't think so :/ : I think Fiat and Lancia are cheap cars only, and Alfa-Romeo is for bad-boys to drive.
Ferrari and Lamborghini are luxury cars, but too expensive to be common.

About 1970s Hong Kong people bought Italian cars, just because of British influence.
But generally, Hong Kong people at that time don't think Italian cars have any value.

These are examples:
1. This Fiat was driven by robbers: /vehicle_632080-Fiat-125-125A-1969.html
2. This Lancia was driven by a small killer: /vehicle_463711-Lancia-Fulvia-818-1971.html
3. This Alfa Romeo looks like a bad-boy cars: /vehicle_1025307-Alfa-Romeo-Alfasud-Sprint-902A.html

Later when Ferrari and Lamborghini were introduced to Hong Kong, Hong Kong people started to know there're some luxury cars in Italy.

This movie reflects this: /movie_85698-Hua-xin-da-shao.html

Generally Fiat, Lancia and Alfa Romeo seldom ran for over 10 years in Hong Kong: /vehicle.php?id=1048114
In Hong Kong basically no one collects Fiat and Lancia, because these are too cheap to preserve.
Little Alfa Romeos are kept: including Alfasud Sprint.
However, like other countries, Hong Kong people like collecting old Ferrari and Lamborghini cars.
I have seen there are still Ferrari 308 coupes running on Hong Kong roads.
