I highly disagree. They weren't pretty, but I don't find them as ugly as a Citroen Ami, Fiat Multipla, Pontiac Aztek, or a Messerschmitt KR.

I like these, would want to own one. Too bad they don't have a dealer here in Finland for AMC so would be hard and expensive to find and purchase parts. If I remember correctly, I have seen only one and even that was with foreign plates

After Studebaker folded, my uncle took on an AMC franchise and sold all the AMC models including the Pacer.
I never cared much for their looks but felt they were very solid and well built cars.
I particularly remember the large, heavy doors that closed like a safe.

This is the '75 to '77 version.
The 1978's had a revised grille which was taller in the center section with a mesh design.

Well, Chrysler bought AMC in 1987 and elmimated the brand name.
They kept building the Eagle and Jeep models, but they were Chrysler products, not AMC's.
