It's a factory job, OK. After asserting in 1976 that they would never build another convertible, the firm broke its promise and came out with ONE MORE soft-top in their 1984-85 Eldorado range ...much to the annoyance and frustration of the speculators who had invested in the "last" one, in 1976! |

The chop job was contracted out to ASC by GM. They would ship hardtop Eldorados sans back seats and headliners to ASC, where they would finish the car and ship to dealers. |
