Correct. Someone saw assembled in Japan and assumed it was JDM. By the VIN alone we know NZ spec. |

This has come up before, and I think it means it's a JDM import that has had some kind of conversion work done on arrival and assigned a new VIN? Huge numbers of cars in NZ are secondhand JDM imports. So not made for NZ, or made in NZ (all the others will need to have this removed too). -- Last edit: 2020-10-31 18:42:25 |

Here's the information on these VINs: https://www.nzta.govt.nz/vehicles/vehicle-registration/vin/ So this is a (presumably JDM) car imported before 2009. -- Last edit: 2020-10-31 19:11:07 |

This is actually a 1990 built in December. https://carvx.jp/search/car?search_id=dRZ8TLD3TOf0&car_id=0 JDM doesn’t use MYs. Reverting to 1990. |
