Passenger chassis introduced on K2/K4 chassis post war with 180" wheelbase (CM Archive)

Details from http://www.austinmemories.com/styled-73/index.html

1947-1948 Austin K4/CXB Petrol Passenger chassis.

1948-1949 Austin K4/CXB Series I Petrol 180" w/base Passenger chassis normal control
1948-1949 Austin K4/CXD Series I Petrol or Perkins Diesel 180" w/base Passenger chassis forward control

Based on Loadstar cab front end (bus on the right)

1950-1955 Austin K4/CXD Series II Petrol or Perkins Diesel 180" w/base Passenger chassis forward control

Normal control series II should be K4/CXB but not listed by Austin data sheets?

edit: A long discussion here Old Bus Phots regarding confusion over the Austin CXB and CXD designations but I have used Austin data sheets as far as possible for normal control/forward control versions.

I have now finally dismissed all of my previous comment for the buses here. :o

Considering the difficulty in having a Loadstar Series II based K4/CXB and the buses seen are possibly far shorter they are more likely to be truck based chassis similar to this K2/SL (also I think used for short journey and small island transport.
