Black grille = 1978. The rear shot shows shiny bumper strip. 1974 or 1975. If the gas cap was visible I could tell which. 1974 the cap was below the side crease. 1975-1978 it was moved above the crease and drastic alterations made to the wheel well to allow fitting the 2.5 gallon extra capacity tank, which makes siphoning gas out of the main tank impossible. That was part of the V8 package, optional with the 4 or 6. The blah yellow one is most likely a 1977. No black grille = not 78. No shiny bumper strip = not 74 or 74 (plus the non-recessed grille crosses off 1974). The park lights aren't orange so it's not 1976. Of course these details for 75-78 only hold true for Mustang II's in original condition. The parts are all interchangeable. |

Looks like Ghia trim level with smaller rear quarter. That makes it 1975 or later. |
