1)It's an SUV, not a van. 2)1987-92 Chevrolet Blazer if it's a 2-Door, and Suburban if it's a 4-Door. |

Thanks, Ddey65. A Blazer was listed previously (although a different year) so I will go with that, as a side view is not shown. |

This is not an 1987. this is a 1988-1991 K-5 blazer. |

Actually it’s not a 1988 either. Chevrolet introduced the more modern chrome grille with Flat Black "Ladder" style accents (along with the now common center chrome bar that houses the Chevy emblem) in 1989. So this is no later than a 1989 model. The Chrome grille lasted from 1989 to 1991, when that style Blazer was discontinued only to be replaced by the new (Full-Size) Blazer 1500 for the 1992 model year. |

Thanks for correcting me, Neptune. Did they have the 1988-1994 Four-spoke steering wheel on the 88' K-5 Blazer? |

The Four Spoke Steering Wheel that you speak of was introduced for the 1989 model year as well. I was indeed four spoke, and had a small round, center horn cap that had CHEVROLET written in the center. If you see a 88’ Blazer with the 1989 through 1991 model, Blazer steering wheel, someone put the steering wheel in the vehicle. I have seen this modification many times, Not sure why people do it though. I even saw that Steering Wheel on a 1985 model Chevy pickup. -- Last edit: 2007-06-28 15:53:30 |
